Sudden Death Improv Auditions/ Volunteer Opportunities

Second Storey Theatre is being completely revamped and going to focus solely on improv for the year 2012. Graham Myers is developing an improv show that will run Friday and Saturday nights through out the entire year. (The commitment is not for all the shows but are available to those wanting it) There are tons of performance opportunities for interested improvisers and volunteers. This is a chance to get in on the ground level and become a resident performer at the only improv theatre in the Tri City area. What does that mean? It means free weekly workshops run by Graham Myers (Graham's Bio ) until the grand reopening on January 27th 2012. It means a chance to be a pioneer in the complete development of a new show format and really be a part of something in its early stages. It means a chance to hone your improv skills in regular performances. It also means being apart of a close, tight knit family of people that care deeply about the future of improv and where we can take it. Once this show opens there will be late night shows that resident performers will get first dibs on to develop there own long or short formats and test the waters on anything they choose. This is also a chance to get in before the paid workshops come into effect. There are chances for resident improvisers to run and be apart of workshops in the new structure which will include kids all the way to advanced levels. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to really be one of the originators and founders at this great space.

The auditions will be held Saturday Sept 24th and Sunday Sept 25th starting at 12pm until 2pm. They will be group workshop performance style auditions. Only requirements are either a resume or a short bio of improv experience (none required), headshots or some form of photo to remember your pretty faces, comfortable clothing, and a passion to learn and work in a group mind.

There are also tons of volunteer opportunities in all different fields such as Marketing, Tech Booth, Work Experience, Management, as well as Operations. Don’t hesitate to respond if these interest you.
